Description
Three small leather trunks with brass tacks to hold the leather in place. The first with wall papered interior and original paper label signed "Isaac Barnes / Saddler & Trunk -Maker, No. 91 Newbury Street, Boston" - lid loose, some looses to leather, overall fair condition - 12 1/4"W x 9"D x 4 1/2"H - probably early 19th century; the second with green papered interior, Hepplewhite oval pull on lid, and in good condition, early 19th century - 12"W x 6 1/4"D x 5"H; and the largest in original red and black paint over leather and having a wallpapered interior, Sheraton type rosette pull on lid, and paper label applied to side that reads "M.F. Kennedy / Bridgewater" - probably Bridgewater Massachusetts as next faded later appears to be a capital "M" - very good condition early to mid 19th century - measures 16"W x 10"D x 7 3/4"H. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
