RIAA Gold award for Bob Rivers Comedy Corp album Twisted Christmas, which was released on Nov. 15, 1987. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on Dec. 6, 1995 for 500,000 copies sold, which this award celebrates.

A much loved Seattle-area rock radio personality for over 25 years on stations KZOK and KJR-FM, Rivers also had a knack for writing parody songs and recording them in rock style. This album became his zenith in terms of commercial success on the strength of comedy tracks sung to famous Christmas carols. Titles included "The Twelve Pains of Christmas", "We Wish You Weren't Living With Us", "Wreck the Malls", "O Come All Ye Grateful Dead-Heads" and more. The album reached #19 on the Billboard Holiday releases chart.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Gold album award that would have been manufactured in 1995, making it approx. 26 years old. This award is presented to Jonathan Lev, a promotions and marketing executive who worked with rock, pop and alternative artists including Sevendust, Coldplay, Blur, Green Day, Nirvana, U2, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.

This award is all original and in VG to Excellent condition. Award also has its original backing paper with Ill Eagle manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true.
