This is an antique open face Swiss 18K gold cased quarter repeater pocket watch from Charles-Henri Meylan. The double sunk dial is marked with easy-to-read Arabic numeral indices. The back of the case exhibits a worn monogram. The dust cover is engraved: "Sept. 1st, 1918.
Quarter repeaters strike the number of hours, and then the number of quarter hours since the last hour. The mechanism uses 2 chimes of different tones.
The case diameter is 46.4mm diameter. The total length including the crown and bow is 64mm. The total weight is 84.5g.

In overall good cosmetic condition. The second hand is missing and will need to be replaced. There is a series of tight cracks to the dial at the 5 o'clock position. Minor hairline in the second hand sub dial. There is an abraded ding to the watch case just to the right of the 6 o'clock position. The watch is not currently running and is in need of a cleaning. The balance staff is broken. The repeater function operates intermittently.
