**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Near East, Luristan, Bronze Age, ca. 1200 to 600 BCE; Northwestern Europe, England, ca. 10th to 16th century CE. A fine collection of 8 European iron arrowheads of different shapes and varying sizes, and a single bronze ancient Persian blade. Included in the iron heads are bodkin point with slender, square cross sections, forked head, barbed, and a lengthy broad head. The Luristan bronze head has most of the petaloid blade intact with a midrib down the center, enveloped in attractive green and blue patina. An interesting group that may have been used in battle! Size of largest iron head: 4.75" L x 0.75" W (12.1 cm x 1.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-Estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA acquired before 2000

Bronze blade is a fragment as shown. Chips and nicks to other heads, surface pitting from age and exposure. Heavy russet and green patina throughout.
