DESCRIPTION: (5 Pc) A Hattie Carnegie perfume bottles grouping set. This set includes: five (5) Hattie Carnegie N.7 perfume bottles, depicting an Art Deco bust of a woman. One of the bottles is entirely gilded. Hattie Carnegie was a fashion entrepreneur based in New York City from the 1920s to the 1950s. She was born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, as Henrietta Kanengeiser. By her early 20s, she had taken the surname Carnegie as a homage to Andrew Carnegie, the richest person in the United States at the time. Hattie Carnegie designs are in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Her work is included in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
