Description
Judaic needlework piece with flowers and Hebrew writing. I originally believed this to be a Tallis Bag to hold a Ceremonial Shawl, but have recently been informed it is an Affikoman Bag, used to store and preserve the Afikomen from the Passover seder. Measures 16.5 x 20 inches, in a pentagon shape with 2 inch metallic fringe. Appears to be some sort of cover. In poor condition with spots, stains, and fringe wear. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
