George Morley (English, 1832-1863) oil on canvas painting depicting a gentleman wearing a top hat, ascot, and red waistcoat mounted on a horse with a groom beside him holding the reigns of another horse painted in profile with a docked tail, with numerous riders in the distant landscape under a gray and pink sunset, signed and dated "1840" to lower right, housed in a giltwood frame with floral border and titled in plaque "A Gentleman with a Horse and Groom."
