Description
AMERICAN ART POTTERY VASES, LOT OF TWO, comprising a Rookwood example with angled loop handles to neck, having teal vellum matte glaze, impressed Rookwood fourteen flame points mark with "XVIII", "339B", "V", and incised "X" to underside, and an 11 5/8" H Weller knifewood example with incised peacock motif. Circa 1918. 13 1/4" HOA.

Rookwood example having bruise to one handle, a minor rim flake with associated hairline extending just below one handle terminal, and pencil/scuff marks to rim interior; Weller example with areas of restoration to rim and characteristic moderate crazing.
