ASSORTED ARCHAEOLOGICAL SEWING THIMBLES, LOT OF NINE, brass/bronze comprising Turko-Slavic rug maker's thimble, two Byzantine ring thimbles, pre-Renaissance European example, three Dutch examples, an English "maid's thimble", and a tailor's thimble; along with a Turko-Slavic iron thimble with single ventilation hole to top. Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Probably 9th to 17th century. Various sizes.
