19th C Early European Mechanical Puppet Marionette. A 19th century marionette puppet that could possibly have been made as early as 1700-1800s. A bearded man, made of wood with light stuffing with jointed knees and arms. Glass eyes. Wearing potentially Italian or Russian style clothes and hat, though they are not original to the puppet. Long metal hook attached to the head. From the collection of Barbara Porter & Robert Wincuinas.
Dimensions are 36 in h x 21 in w x 9 in d. Condition is fair. Wear throughout. Paint chipping and fading. Scratches. Clothes are in rough shape and are moth eaten. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
