1786 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6% Bond Form
March 1786. Partially-Printed Document, 6% Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bond Certificate Form. Anderson PA-13. Printed by Francis Bailey, Philadelphia, Unissued and Complete with its full Indent Margins, Extremely Fine.
Low Rarity-6 (21-30 known) according to Robert Anderson as listed in his reference work: THE PRICE OF LIBERTY. Printed document, 110 by 310 mm, (Philadelphia), being an unissued bond certificate for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, printed by Francis Bailey, humidity tone at the far left and right outer margins, tape reinforcement along the printed left side indent border design on the blank reverse. An unissued bond with a 6% interest rate, to be paid half yearly. Typically when issued, this form would be Signed by Treasurer David Rittenhouse (not signed). Rarely encountered full and complete, yet an unissued example with its full indent margins intact.
