Indonesian Tribal Grouping, Including a Blow Dart

to include: from Sarawak, a Kayan wooden poison grinder, wooden dart case with darts (case 14 in.), wooden blow pipe fitted with spear point (75 in.); an unknown tribal hafted mallet, with a wooden head (25-1/2 in.); Papua New Guinea carved and painted two-part ceremonial axe (18 in.); a necklace of multicolored beads and four brass beads (12 in.); two large anthropomorphic brass beads (1-1/2 in.).
The consignor recalls his father collecting these objects from the Iban people, who he noted as being one of the last headhunting tribes of Southeast Asia. They lived with the tribe's people for over three weeks.
