oil on Masonite, signed and dated 1993 at lower left, presented within a silk lined gilt frame.
Board 12 x 10 1/8 in.; Frame dimensions 17 3/4 x 16 in.
Sterling Strauser was a self-taught artist. He and his wife, Dorothy, were also known throughout the Pocono region as collectors and promoters of folk and outsider art. His paintings are in numerous public collections including Allentown Art Museum, Allentown, Pennsylvania, Cheekwood Museum, Nashville, Tennessee, and the Maier Museum of Art, Lynchburg, Virginia.
