Gold matched corner frame that houses the painting., Scene depicts a busy woodl scene with various figures, livestock and wagons. Gold matched corner frame measures: 31 inches x 43 inches. SS: 23 1/2" x 35 1/2".Provenance: Obtained at auction in Maine. Prior owner was from an Augusta ME Estate.William Shayer I (1787 -1879) was an artist out of England known for wood scenes and paintings of animals. Shayer has been exhibited at the Royal Academy between and at the British Institute.
