Item/Description: Signed Royal Military Appointment of John Edward Lyons (UK), Captain in the 46th Regiment of Foot. The document is dated the 17th day of December 1853 and appoints John Edward Lyons to the position of Captain in Our Forty Sixth Regiment of Foot from the 16th December 1853. Signed by Queen Victoria in the upper left corner. Countersigned by Palmerston. Features white Royal paper seal, one vellum leaf, partially printed and a portrait of a young queen Victoria.

Material: Paper, matted and framed under glass

Dimensions: Framed: Height: 17 1/2"; Width: 27"
