Maurice de Saxe was an 18th-century European military hero best-known for serving both the Holy Roman Empire and the French Imperial Army. Though perhaps his best and most memorable military feats occurred under Louis XV where he played an important role in the War of the Austrian Succession.
This 1760 edition of the life and times of Maurice de Saxe was collected and published by Louis Neel, complete with two fine engravings.
