This is a German Bellarmine or Bearded Man, or Witches Jug, as they have been called. They were exported to America, circa. 16th to early 17th century. It has the typical incised face at the neck area and city marks. This stoneware salt glazed Bellarmine Jug is 10.5 inches high x 6.75 inches diameter.
