Root wood case with lemongrass marquetry.
Porcelain dial with gilt bronze rim and signed.
Square engine with quarter-quarter and hour hand chimes on two bells.
There is a directory clock "Varcollier à Marseille" in the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Measurements: 64 x 36 x 20 cm.
This French clock is made of root wood and is enriched with a fillet in lemongrass marquetry. It has a front with a simple architectural composition, with a façade topped by a semicircular arch raised on a moulded base. The dial, with Roman numerals (on the hours) and Breguet-type hands, is bordered by a gilt-bronze foliate border.
