Pair of Impressive French Porcelain Figures on Stands
mid-19th century, Paris or Limoges, of a couple in Elizabethan dress, richly decorated with gilt, the male leaning on a metal sword, wearing a cape and boots, h. 25", w. 9", d. 8", and the female holding sheet music, h. 23", w. 8", d. 9", on mazarine blue and pink rococo bases, hand-painted with roses on scrolled feet.
Provenance: Property from the collection of Dr. Arnold and Celia Lupin, New Orleans, Louisiana.
