Description
Famous NYC Streets Extra Long Roll Signs, Ink On Canvas. Roll Signs were used in New York subway cars during the early 1900's to display car locations and stops. Each car had two signboxes at each end of the car. Each signbox housed a full rollsign. The one on the left displayed the route, while the one on the right displayed the destination.
