Description
Complete and working New York City Destination Roll Sign including metal frame and crank handle from IRT "Redbirds", circa 1960/70's. All signs are cloth. Roll sign contains a total of 33 signs, 31 are terminal stops. Two signs read "Special"and "Not in Service", usable on all the IRT numbered train lines including No.7 line serving "Willets Point/Shea Stadium" (home of the Mets). Some of the signs are Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Grand Central, Main Street Flushing, 149th Concourse, 96 St Bway, Chambrs Street, 34 St Penn Sta, Bowling Green, and more. Some imperfections appear on Utica Ave, Dyre Ave, E 180th Street & Pelham Bay Park. Approx. 21.5" x 18" x 9" including metal frame.
