Pair of Victorian Brass-Mounted Mahogany Hall Benches, James Shoolbred & Co.
24 3/4 x 21 3/4 x 12 3/4 in.
Note: Although established as a draper for the furniture trade in the 1820's, James Shoolbred did not start making furniture to their own design until the late 1860's and was granted a royal warrant in the 1880's. The firm, located at 155 Tottenham Court Road, London, closed in 1933.
Condition
Minor nicks on the back legs. One is faded and the seat is made of oak with more wear than the other. Both structurally sound.
