This is a gorgeous Coffee Set for 8 (eight) from Royal Doulton, Made in England.
This pattern has been discontinued, it was an old, almost antique pattern, originally manufactured in 1938 and 1939, according to the numbers 12 and 13 besides the mark.
This pattern perfectly reflects the time when it was produced: the Great Depression was over and the Second World War wasn't started yet. At that era, people looked more into luxury and pleasures of life. This set is part of service for 24, that was given as a wedding gift to a young girl in England. For almost 80 years these pieces have been with the family. They survived a World War, the Nazi bombing, long journey through Atlantic, poor and exhausting years in the new country, many careless hands.
The set has been part of many happy moments.
The pattern has gold accented edge and gold leaves circle set on a cream background. Even today the set is very stylish and beautiful.

The set is in good used vintage condition with no cracks or crazing. There is very minimal wear on the gold details

It is regarded as a mark of supreme excellence and quality. It cannot, of course, be bought or sold. King Edward awarded the first of five Royal Warrants to Royal Doulton in 1901.
The Doulton Company then became The Royal Doulton Company. Royal Doulton now holds two Royal Warrants.
