Two Chinese blue and white porcelain boxes dating from the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty. The round box features a fish on the lid as well as two motifs on the base. The octagonal box has a crane in a lotus pond scene on the lid. It is surrounded by Buddhist emblems. The base of the box has an alternating pattern of cranes and flowers.

Dimensions are: the larger, octagonal box measures 3 inches tall X 3 3/4 inches in diameter, 7.6 cm X 9.5 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The round box has minuscule chipping to the rim of the base. The lid of the round box has significant glaze wear. The octagonal box has multiple areas of repair to the rim of the base. The base also has one chip, while the lid has a chip to its rim.
