One of the most recognized posters anywhere used for US Army during World War I and World War II AND REPRINTED AGAIN TO PROTEST VIETNAM. Possibly the Single Most Iconic Image of American Involvement in World War I - The Uncle Sam Recruiting Poster by James Montgomery Flagg. Printed for the United States Army. This image originally appeared on the cover of Leslie's magazine, for which Flagg worked as an illustrator. It appeared on the July 6, 1916, cover with the caption "What are you doing for preparedness ?" It did not appear with the "I Want You" text until February 15, 1917.
