Description
ASSORTED GERMAN AND OTHER CERAMIC / BISQUE DOLLS, LOT OF SIX, each with hand-painted features; comprising a china doll head incised "Germany / 2" to back of shoulders; an Armand Marseille "Floradora" bisque-head doll with sleepy eyes, a jointed composition body, fitted in a pink dress and bonnet, marked "Made in Germany / Floradora / A 0 M"; and four joined bisque porcelain babies consisting of two "Baby Bud" with one marked "Germany" and the other "Nippon", one with open mouth marked "Germany", and the last with sleepy eyes marked "16 / 16" to head and dressed in a christening gown and bonnet. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. "Floradora" 17 1/2" HOA.
Condition
Mostly in good to very good overall condition with scattered wear and other imperfections including surface marks, discoloration, one or a few flakes, and/or replaced string joints; jointed baby with open mouth probably repainted.
