FRENCH "TETE JUMEAU" BISQUE-HEAD JOINTED CHARACTER DOLL, socket head with incised markings "X / 11" and a red stamped "TETE JUMEAU", blue paperweight fixed eyes with painted upper and lower eyelashes and eyebrows, pieced ears with red stone earrings, open mouth with six exposed teeth, jointed composition body with paper label "Bebe Jumeau / Diplome d'Honneur" on buttock, period long brown hair wig with original cork pate. Fitted in vintage attire, pink silk dress with crochet trim, undergarments, white shoes with soles marked "11 / PARIS / DEPOSE". Fourth quarter 19th century. 24 1/2" HOA.

Condition
Head with a very faint approximate 1" surface hairline off edge of opening, interior of head with an as-made interior mold line; composition with expected imperfections including surface losses, some repainting, and limb tip roughness. Clothing with scattered wear and minor imperfections, dress with a tiny stain. Together with a period fashion hat of incorrect size.
