Description
NEW ENGLAND PAINT-DECORATED CLOTH MOLDED LADY DOLL, molded shoulder plate head of pressed linen/muslin with paint decorated facial features and molded black covered wagon style hair, cloth body with painted arms with molded fingers and legs, shoulder plate edge fitted with support wire. Fitted in vintage attire, taffeta dress with a net fichu, undergarments and shoes, beaded necklace. Circa 1850-1865. 23" HOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition, expected wear and imperfections, including crackling, and a short separation to side of neck, some scattered paint losses including the nose tip. Dress with deterioration and a front tear, undergarments with discoloration, holes and light staining.
