Antique Chinese carved Huanghuali everted rim long alar table. The rectangular top with a framed center slab of Huanghuali. A carved band runs the perimeter of the table just below the top which is preceded by rococo dragon relief decorated apron that extends around the perimeter. The legs are angular in shape and taper outwards ever-so-slightly until they reach the ground. Very sturdy ancient construction with perfectly joined mortise and tenon. The color can range from reddish-brown to golden-yellow. Historical references point to Hainan Island as the main source of huali. The wood has a translucent glistening surface with natural patterns that please the eye. Some grain structures may be likened to the shape of ghost faces.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition, with normal anomalies in nature, natural wood imperfection, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent; Normal consider ages and wears.
