PROVENANCE:
From the Estate Heirloom Collections of General He Shaozhou 何ç»å‘¨ (1903 - 1980), born in Xingyi County, Guizhou Province, was the nephew of Yingchen He. He served as a General in the National Revolutionary Army and Lieutenant General in the Republic of China.After graduating from the 15th class of the Japanese Army Cadet School, he entered the first class of the Whampoa Military Academy (Republic of China Military Academy) in 1924 and participated in the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party)'s Eastern Expedition and Northern Expedition. In 1939, he was promoted to Major General. In 1940, he became the Vice Commander of the newly organized 11th Army and the Vice Commander of the 8th Army, and in 1942, he became the Commander of the 88th Army. He was elected as a delegate to the First National Assembly and was promoted toLieutenant General in September 1948. Yu Feian 于éžé—‡ (1888 - 1959) Chinese 20th century master artist of fine brushwork flowers and Birds, the first artist to write thin gold script calligraphy. He studied painting with Wang Rungi in early years. In 1912, at Mongolian higher Normal School. Since 1930, he teaches at the Art Department of North China University, the Jinghua Academy of Fine Arts, and a mentor of the Chinese Painting Research Museum Antiquities Exhibition. In 1935, was the beginning era of meticulous painting of flowers and birds, first he learned from Chen Hongshou's, and then studied The Song-Yuan Dynasty Arts of Zhao's meticulous flower painting method. in 1949 and later years, he became the vice president of Beijing Chinese Painting Research Institute, a researcher of National Fine Arts Research Center of Central Academy of Fine Arts and vice chairman of Beijing Academy. Some of Yu's Masterpiece are "Magnolia Oriole map", "Red Xingshan Partridge Map", "Dove of Peace Map", "Temporary sketch rare birds map" and many more. The book has "non Black Guard Diffuse ink", "in the Black Guard meticulous flower and bird selection", "I how to paint meticulous flower and bird painting" and so on.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
