SG&L Brass Top New York Central & Hudson River Railroad Lantern Steam Gauge & Lantern brass top / bell bottom No. 39 New York Central & Hudson River Railroad lantern. The shoulder of the lantern is embossed with N.Y.C. & H.R.R.R. The body has mild pitting throughout which has been cleaned but still present. The manufacture stamping is partially unreadable because of the pitting. The bell bottom has one pinhole rust through spot as does the underside of the drop out burner pot. One of the brass straps on the pot is broken but still functions. The tall extended base globe measures 5 7/8" tall and is cast with NYC&HRRR CO in the clear globe. The globe has no notable chips, cracks or breaks.
