Two Northwest Territorial Mint firefighter medals bearing the image of Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters. One shows the emblem of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) which is set against the background of the four-fold Florian's Cross, itself a variation of the more sharply defined Maltese Cross. This derivation is purported to have come from the Knights of Malta defending themselves against the Saracen's use of fire as an offensive weapon. The second shows three firefighters on the back of a moving hook and ladder truck with a large engravable space above those figures that can be used to personalize the coin as a gift. Both are 39mm in diameter and have a beautiful, antiqued bronze finish.
