12 Sotaro Saegusa (Japanese, 1911-2006) cast iron sculptures. Based on the animals of the 12 year cycle Chinese calendar. Rooster: 5 1/4" H x 3 1/2" W. Dragon: 5" H x 4 7/8" W. Sheep: 4" H x 3 1/2" W. Dog: 4" H x 3 1/2" W. Ox: 4 1/4" H x 3 1/2" W. Rat: 4 3/4" H x 3" W. Horse: 5 1/4" H x 4 3/4" W. Monkey: 4" H x 2 1/2" Diameter. Hare: 4 1/4" H x 3 1/4" W. Snake: 2 1/2" H x 4 1/2". Tiger: 2 1/4" H x 7" W. Pig: 3" H x 3 1/4" w Each with oval stand with red felt cover: 9" Diameter. A small wooden stand with kanji: 2 1/4" H x 1" W. A leaflet with information on each piece except for the Year of the Horse and Year of the Pig sculptures. Original boxes. Each impressed with artists mark. Circa 1991-2000.
