VERY FINE PAIR OF RED-BREAST MERGANSERS by George Strunk, Glendora, NJ. Excellent original paint and condition. Hollow construction. Hen carved in a preening position. The drake gazing to the left. Both with raised carved crossed wing tips and fluted tail carving. Drake with very fine comb painting to sides. The hen with detailed painted feather work overall and fine paint ticking to head. Overall length of drake is approximately 18 3/4 inches. The hen is approximately 16 3/4 inches. Both retain pad weights stamped G STRUNK. Both are signed and dated 2008. 800-1200
