VERY FINE PAIR OF RED-BREAST MERGANSERS by "Hurricane" Pete Peterson, Cape Charles, VA. Excellent original paint and structural condition. Very racy pair with painted feather detail and ticking to the drake. Overall subtle paint blending to hen. Both retain glass eyes. Both with detailed bill carving with nostrils and nail. Both retain keel weights and leather rigging. Both with crisp PETE brands and dated 2008. Overall length of both is approximately 16 1/2 inches. An outstanding pair by this noted carver. 700-900
