Silver, vermeil. 10 1/2" x 12 3/4". Russian icon depicting Christ. With a paper to the reverse stating: "Icon: Certificate of Authenticity. This Sacred Image is hand-made in the original Byzantine manner by iconographers, monks, or priests, who paint icons in the churches. It belongs to the Russian school, 19th century style of iconography. Its exportation is permitted under the archaeologic legislation from the Byzantine Museum."
