Martino, Antonio (1902-1988) Painting. Oil & Tempera on board - signed lower right. Titled "The Three Sisters". Board measures 9x14 framed to overall size of 11.5x16.5. Martino won numerous awards for his artwork.In fact, he accrued over eighty awards for his paintings. He was a life member of the Water Color Society of New York and the National Academy of Design. His work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Carnegie Institute. His work is represented in more than twenty-fivepermanent museum collections including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Allentown Art Museum and the National Academy of Design among others.
