The text consists of tables with the name, rank and corps of each officer, the actions in which they served, various remarks such as whether they were wounded, severely wounded, or in some cases killed, etc. The map "Battles of Mexico" show Mexico City south to the Pedregal of Field of Lava. This copy lacks about a third of the rear wrapper; a photocopy of the full text that was on the inside of that leaf is laid in. Ink docketing on the outside of that rear wrapper.
Of note, on the errata of "Names Accidentally Omitted," is that of 2nd Lieut. George B. McClellan, future somewhat disgrace commander of the Army of the Potomac during the Civil War, and failed presidential candidate in the 1864 election.
