Zenon Petrovich Komissarenko (Russian, 1891-1980) mixed media painting on paper depicting an abstract colorful composition, 1966. Signed, dated, and inscribed in the Cyrillic, Moscow, lower right. Zenon Komissarenko, a director, screenwriter, artist production designer. The Vkhutemas teachers of Zenon Komissarenko were Tatlin and Malevich. His associates and adherents are Solomon Nikritin, Clement Redko, Alexander Tyshler, Sergey Luchishkin, Peter Williams, Alexander Labas. Together with them, Zenon Komissarenko developed the ideas of projectionism in the Method group, which existed from 1922 to 1925. Carried away by experimental dynamic graphics, Zenon Komissarenko stood at the origins of Soviet animation. One of a kind artwork.
