Item Details

Description

Three piece group comprising: Victorian era cast iron doorstop, possibly Coalbrookdale Company (English), modeled as a Gothic knight in armor, a Virginia Metalcrafters and brass "Whip and Fox" doorstop, and a mixed stone figure of a pelican. The knight doorstop with poorly cast marks, the fox doorstop unmarked, and the stone pelican signed to the underside. Approx. h. 17.75", w. 775", d. 2.5" (knight doorstop).

Condition

Casting imperfections; some oxidation to brass; repaired crack to pelican's neck.
