Description
Rosenthal (West) German porcelain bisque finish sculpture. Titled, "The Drinker," produced circa 1948, from a design by Ernst Wenck (1865-1929). A figural composition with a young nude figure sipping water from cupped hands. Cold War Era ROSENTHAL GERMANY U.S. ZONE backstamp to underside. Accompanied by German glazed porcelain Art Deco Butterfly Dancer style figurine, having loss to underside which has obliterated backstamp. Possibly by Goldschneider (Measures 8" x 6" x 2.25".)
