Pre-Columbian Huari South Coast Feather Mummy Face Mask/Head. Woven in natural cotton, the face applied with bright feathers, the eyes with streaming tear motif, long nose and open mouth of metal sheet; hair frames the head with headband. In custom plexi case. Provenance: ex Alexander Acevedo, New York; Sotheby's Parke-Bernet, February 25, 1982, Lot 6. Size: Mask: 8.5'' x 8'' x 8'' (22 x 20 x 20 cm); Case: 20'' x 12'' x 12'' (51 x 30 x 30 cm).
