O/C Classical portrait of a young girl holding a dove in original gilt gesso frame, early 19th century. The painting with slight crazing lower half of canvas but overall very good condition and appears untouched with good stable paint - the deep frame has gilt gesso shells in each corner, but one is missing and the frame also with flaking of gilding, but in original condition as found in a local Old Saybrook CT attic. The stretch size 20 1/8" x 25 1/4" and total frame size 30" x 34 1/2" x 4 7/8"D.
