Description
Chu Wei-Bor Woodcut, Happyness Come to the Bamboo Town. This is an original woodcut print by Chu Wei-Bor (Chinese, 1929-2018). Chu was committed to modern art, and incorporated ideas from Daoism into his work. This piece is entitled Happyness Come to the Bamboo Town, made in 1977, and is number 18 out of 60. It depicts a bustling town, with a procession in the center and people peering out of their homes to watch. It is signed, dated, titled, and numbered at the bottom. There is also a border made from a beautiful, delicate paper. A charming modern print for a fan of woodblock printing.
