Artist Biography: Steve Weinberg (b. 1954) is a contemporary American glass artist, best known for his part in the 20th century American Studio Glass Movement. Based in Rhode Island, his work has explored concepts of pure geometry and the interplay of shapes and light, as in this example from his Puzzle series, to the blobular and abstract. Weinberg describes his art as 'a way to gain control over [his] environment' in light of a personal life described in different sources as risk-torn and chaotic.
