1st-2nd century AD. An amuletic pendant comprising a rectangular sheet-gold plaque bearing a repoussé menorah, pierced at the top and suspended from a slender, round-section gold hoop. 1.31 grams, 49mm high (2"). Acquired in the 1980s. From the collection of a gentleman. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.11050-182913.
