Description

For your consideration are (2) large sterling silver floral brooches. The first brooch measures 5"(l) x 2 3/4"(w) and is marked "Sterling / 27 / Chato / Mexico". This brooch likely made by Jorge "Chato" Castillo. The second brooch measures 4" in length and is 1 1/8" in width and is marked "Sterling". Together the brooches weigh 1.5 ounces and are quite lovely examples from about the 1940's.

Provenance: From a private collection in San Antonio, Texas.
