Description

An original set of 1872 pattern US chevrons for a cavalry sergeant. Yellow ground with black thread on the edges and marking the stripes. Fabric is the cotton twill used in the 1890s when the army shifted to the khaki fatigue blouse. Nice color and condition. One spot on upper right of one chevron. Minor dirt and dust from storage. Shows some stitching holes from being sewn at one point.
