Medium: impasto. Jack Le Roux trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes and then in Paris. There is a certain lyricism in his painting, but he is also tempted to depict chaos and the primitive, the unleashing of earthly forces on an epic scale. He has exhibited in solo shows in France and elsewhere since 1963. These have included shows in Paris, at the Galerie Herouet and at the Centre Chaillot-Galliera in 1986 and at the Galerie Weymans in 1990, and in Miami in 1966 and Basel in 1990. He has also exhibited at the Paris Salons: Salon de la Jeune Peinture in 1965, Salon des Artistes Français in 1990 and Salon de Mai in 1992.
