Circa 1942, marked simply "Sterling". The compact has three hinged openings and is in the form of a letter, complete with to and from addresses that read, "Hortense Cassell Teusen, 204 No. 35th St. Philadelphia PA" and from, "Edward G. Robinson, Beverly Hills Calif.", The postal date is for Dec. 25th 1942. Hortense Cassell was the sister of Gladys Lloyd Cassell who was married to Edward G. Robinson from 1927 to 1956.
